Twilight, Travel, and Treats

You all know I love Carter Burwell's Twilight songs because they are so friendly for us amateur pianists.

Here's the latest theme from Breaking Dawn Part 2 - Plus Que Ma Propre Vie

Obviously that one's full orchestra but it has Renesmee's lullaby in the beginning.

I like the song mostly because I like watching Edward play the piano.



Thankfully, there's a great piano cover done by Mercuzio who has provided free sheet music (if you take two seconds to register at the free site sonicbands) so if you're looking for sheet music for either Renesmee's lullaby or Plus Que Ma Propre Vie you're in luck.
Just register at the Sonicbands site and then in the search type in Carter Burwell and you should see Plus Que Ma Propre Vie is the third song down the list. Tip - just in case the site's in Italian the "change language to English" button is bottom left.

Recently I've been a bit obsessed with Pinterest and one of my favourite things to save are colour palettes. I don't know what I'm going to do with them all but they're gorgeous. The ones I love most are from Design-seeds.

 

I got so inspired I decided to make some of my own but of course with a Twilight twist of course.

I received an interesting email a while back from Money.co.uk. Apparently they did a comparison of two of my favourite things - Twilight and Harry Potter. I'd normally avoid a financial site of any sort but this caught my attention. It was lovely of Sophie from Money.co.uk to let me know about this since I love facts!

It's a very interesting article and an easy read. Do you know how much Rob Pattinson is worth? What about Emma Watson? How about how much money the Twilight movies have earned versus Harry Potters?
There's no point in me summarizing for you - just go check it out here!

By the way I find the wealth figures they mention there absolutely staggering. For example, J.K. Rowling is the first billionaire author. The total cost of making all the Harry Potter films is over $1.28 billion dollars USD.

It comes as no surprise that Harry Potter brings in more money than Twilight. All the Rob crazed female fans in the world can't make up for the young male population who are in love with the World of Harry Potter. Since Twilight appeals to only one gender it really isn't a fair fight. But still fun to think about :)

By the way, my hubby and I are heading to London in a few days. I am thrilled to try and see some Harry Potter filming sites. This is one trip that won't be Twilight related - unless there is an unexpected Pattinson family sighting!

It's Honolulu Girl's birthday today!

As you can guess the phrase in the title is Hawaiian for Happy Birthday - I have no idea how to pronounce it and I'm not sure if HG/Suzie does either given what a Cali girl she really is.

Remember that Suzie was my Forks trip roomie? We met through her blog True Blood Twilight a year ago. I am so happy to have met such a kindred spirit in this Twilight blogosphere. If it weren't for us sticking it out together in the small town we probably would have run screaming to the nearest Four Seasons. We clicked from the get go and I'm forever grateful that she convinced me to join her.
